Approved agenda. Left side of Plan: Confirmed plan for Michael, Jimmy, Sarah to go before Polk County BOC on June 27 and emphasize our initial hope that WVHA might take a leadership role. Confirmed that uncertainties as to what the MWHI transition team and MWVCAA's Community Resources Program (CRP) are planning complicate the efforts of this group. Confirmed desirability of including Yamhill County in the local CoC, but perhaps not the first year. Confirmed HRAP is currently our best organizing strategy, but that we should also work to ensure local CoC formation is included in Salem's strategic plan.
Right side of Plan: Agreed that the plan to make the CE workgroup (CEWG) a launching pad for a coalition steering committee is not going to work. Agreed we should revert to Plan A and plan a summit in September.
Work plan: Confirmed that MWVCAA and the CRP have entered into a major undertaking with the purchase of 615 Commercial Street NE (financing, renovating, co-locating, etc.), and that it is likely to impair progress on improving ROCC Region 7's data quality and system performance measures, which will limit our ability to improve our local CoC "score" prior to registration and the establishment of a new "lead agency"/collaborative applicant. Confirmed that the monthly Region 7 CoC, Hlth/Hsg, and the CEWG meetings could be, need to be, more focused and informative/productive. Agreed to think about how this might be accomplished. Agreed to look for opportunities to encourage UGM staff re using HMIS/ServicePoint.
